I recently met with the lovely Tasha who is busy getting an exciting new wedding and party venue established, near Framlingham in Suffolk.
The beautiful, plant clad brick building is in the grounds of Tannington Hall, and set back across a beautifully manicured lawn. It used to house all the stables for the Hall. Following her brother-in-law’s wedding, the family decided to formalise the use of the building and convert it, to be hired out for parties, weddings, infact no doubt it will be used for Charity Balls, luncheons, auctions, fashion shows and a multitude of other occasions as it is SO VERSATILE and we’ll be delighted to help you with your plans if you need any assistance!
There is plenty of parking a few minutes walk away, down the drive, and those who need to park closer may do so outside the Hall. A drinks reception could be held on the lawn which faces West and catches the evening sunset. There are plenty of sturdy wooden picnic benches and tables which are all included as part of the hire and can be placed on the lawn if you wish.
There are numerous tranquil areas within the grounds where a bride and groom could sneak off for some private photography time, for example nearer to the Hall by the Moat, or with the backdrop of their exquisite ‘listed’ chicken house – an ornate brick and beamed structure.
The venue has tall beamed ceilings, currently swagged with penlights, but these can be removed if not to your liking. There is a tractor mounted up high above the doors, and the headlights turn on when the lights to the venue are turned on! Currently the floor is screed concrete with an underfloor heating system. There is also a built in sound system with speakers mounted on the walls. Music and drinks may be served until 11.30pm. The area can seat in the region of 120 – 150 depending upon table size, shape and configuration. There is a wonderful mezzanine area where those who wish to take a bit of time out from the buzz of the bar downstairs, can retreat to, with low level tables and comfortable chairs.
The bar working area is very spacious with plenty of room for glassware etc. The freezer has been built into a pallet style wooden cupboard. Behind the scenes is a kitchen area (ovens etc. need to be hired in), a storage area – good for all the hire equipment boxes plus staff coats and bags.
There is a further area – another building altogether which is attached to the Stables, and that has an open front to the lawn – perfect as a chill out area. This also leads to the ladies and gents toilets – all immaculate and new like the rest of the venue.
The venue is being hired out as a blank canvas. This means that you will need to organise your own kitchen equipment, china, cutlery, glassware, furniture, linen, caterers, DJ/Band etc. etc. You are not tied to using any specific suppliers. The hire period is for 3 days so that you have time to decorate the venue.
If you love the look of this venue but the idea of creating your own event is too daunting, then just give us a call on 0775 262 3483 and we’ll be delighted to give you professional assistance.
